In this talk, author Rick Wartzman (right) will present an illustrated lecture on his book, "Obscene in the Extreme," which documents how Steinbeck's classic was banned and burned in California counties where it afflicted the comfortable while comforting the afflicted.
Then, at 7 p.m., a free, public MLK Forum will take the stage in the lower level of the Campus Center with Sociology Professor Fr.
